Fira del Coneixement 2026

The CCEM Barcelona wiill be at Berga for the Fira del Coneixement, an annual showcase of cutting-edge research from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and leading research centers. Taking place on 15th and 16th April at the Pavelló de Suècia, this event aims to spark scientific vocation in 4th ESO, Baccalaureate, and CFGS students.

We are proud to highlight the CCEM exhibition stand, where we will showcase our multidisciplinary approach to solving global challenges. Visitors can explore three of our key research pillars:

• CO2 Recycling: Discover how advanced biomaterial strategies—inspired by bone structures—can help us mitigate climate change.

• Solid-State Cooling: Explore the future of refrigeration using crystals instead of gases to cool the world without warming the planet.

• Biomaterials for Health: See how we design innovative materials in the lab to heal and regenerate the human body.

In addition to our stand, the fair features various UPC research groups covering everything from semiconductors to circular economy, alongside guided visits to the Serra de Queralt natural space and keynote lectures on sustainable architecture.
