The suitcase of materials
May 12, 2000
How are plastic bottles made? How are they recycled? Are modern cars safer? What is graphene? Can we build parts of the human body in a factory? All these questions are related to materials engineering.
In this didactic workshop we will show that, although they often go unnoticed, new materials are responsible for technological breakthroughs in various fields of technology. And they are part of the solution to the challenges we face in the 21st century: climate change, the use of biotechnology to solve global problems and advanced industry.
We will show you examples of new materials from our case, and you will also enjoy a guided tour of the laboratories and facilities.
