CCEM hosts the 10th International Discussion Meeting on Relaxations in Complex Systems

Jul 25, 2025

The event gathered over 500 participants from 36 countries to discuss the latest research on the collective dynamics of complex systems, spanning condensed matter physics, biophysics, and quantum physics.

From July 20 to 25, the Centre for Research in Multiscale Science and Engineering (CCEM) BarcelonaTech (UPC), through its Group of Materials Characterization (GCM), proudly hosted the 10th International Discussion Meeting on Relaxations in Complex Systems (10th IDMRCS). The meeting took place at the Escola d’Enginyeria de Barcelona Est (Campus Diagonal-Besòs), bringing together scientists and researchers from around the world to discuss cutting-edge research on the collective dynamics of many-particle systems.

The 10th IDMRCS gathered over 500 participants from 36 countries across five continents, consolidating its position as one of the most significant international forums in the field. Throughout six days, experts explored the commonalities behind the complex behaviour of hard and soft matter, active matter, liquids, glasses, and a variety of ordered and disordered systems. Topics covered spanned condensed matter physics, biophysics, and quantum physics.

We sincerely thank all participants and collaborators for making the 10th IDMRCS an inspiring platform for scientific exchange and collaboration.
