An award recognizing excellence and creativity in science communication for public engagement!
We are more than proud to share that Luis Carlos Pardo, researcher at the CCEM-Barcelona and professor at the Escola d'Enginyeria de Barcelona Est (UPC – Campus Diagonal-Besòs), has been awarded the "2024 Premi Nacional de Comunicació Científica" by the Fundació Catalana per la Recerca i la Innovació for his outreach project, FISIDABO.
The FISIDABO project is a creative initiative that brings science closer to the public — especially young audiences — through interactive and playful experiences in a unique setting.
The award was presented during the 35th edition of the Premis Nacionals de Recerca at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, in recognition of innovative and impactful contributions to science communication. Prof. Luis Carlos Pardo received the prize together with Rosa Ortiz Gimeno, director of Parc d'Atraccions Tibidabo, a key partner in the development of the project.

The ceremony highlighted the importance of promoting science and knowledge in the face of misinformation and fake news, reinforcing the value of science communication projects like FISIDABO.
At CCEM-Barcelona, we would like to congratulate the awardees for this incredible milestone and to extend our gratitude to Barcelona de Serveis Municipals (BSM) and Parc d’Atraccions Tibidabo for their support in making this initiative possible.
