Professor Jordi Llorca receives recognition for his Trajectory of Excellence at the Serra Hunter Talent Awards

We are delighted to share that Professor Jordi Llorca, head of the NEMEN group (Nanoengineering of Materials Applied to Energy) at the Centre de Recerca en Ciència i Enginyeria Multiescala de Barcelona (CCEM) BarcelonaTech (UPC), has been honoured for his Trajectory of Excellence at the inaugural Serra Hunter Talent Recognition event.

The ceremony, held on July 9th and presided over by the Minister of the Departament de Recerca i Universitats of the Generalitat de Catalunya, highlighted Professor Llorca’s outstanding contributions to academia and research, underscoring his remarkable career and impact in the scientific community.

The Serra Hunter program, promoted by the Generalitat de Catalunya, aims to attract and retain highly qualified teaching and research staff at Catalan public universities, ensuring their achievements meet the highest international standards. This recognition adds to the many awards and distinctions earned by researchers at CCEM throughout an outstanding 2025.
