The HARMONI project identifies and removes regulatory and standardization barriers in the European process industry to accelerate the market entry of innovative and sustainable technologies.

The HARMONI project (Harmonised assessment of regulatory bottlenecks and standardisation needs for the process industry) is an initiative funded by the European Union that aims to analyze and remove regulatory obstacles and standardization barriers hindering innovation and market entry for new technologies in the European process industry.

Through collaborative work with industrial associations (within the framework of the SPIRE/A.SPIRE initiative), standardization bodies, and regulatory authorities, HARMONI analyzes value chains to propose changes in EU policies and standards. The project seeks to facilitate the transferability of technological and sustainable solutions across different industrial sectors (such as chemicals, cement, steel, or recycling) in order to make European industry more competitive and sustainable.
