Organized by the Escola d'Enginyeria de Barcelona Est (EEBE), the VII Research Conference: CIÈNCIA AL CENTRE MULTIESCALA will take place on Monday, July 6th, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM, at the EEBE Auditorium (Building A).

This scientific conference aims to showcase the cutting-edge research being developed at the Barcelona Research Center in Multiscale Science and Engineering (CCEM). Through a series of brief, dynamic presentations, leading researchers from the center will share their latest breakthroughs in fields that are critical to technological and sustainable progress.

This year's program centers on three major research frontiers:

  • Energy and Sustainability: Topics will cover industrial decarbonization, the development of energy-focused catalysts, sustainable aerogels for energy harvesting, and innovative indoor photovoltaic technologies.

  • Advanced Materials and Circularity: Presentations will explore additive manufacturing in ceramics, the structure and applications of amorphous materials, and the challenges surrounding the circularity of raw materials.

  • Biomaterials and Healthcare: The session will feature innovative solutions such as 3D printing of biomaterials for cardiovascular devices and the engineering of implants with bioactive shields against infections.

The event will include a poster session and a coffee break mid-morning to encourage networking and discussion, wrapping up at 1:00 PM with a complimentary cocktail buffet for all attendees.
