Prof. Edgardo Saucedo, Leader of the MNT-Solar group at CCEM/UPC, has been awarded a ERC Proof of Concept grant for the SUNFUEL project. He will develop a scalable solar reactor that turns water and CO2 into net-zero synthetic fuels by harnessing the full solar spectrum, converting wasted infrared heat into extra energy to break commercial efficiency barriers.
